Hey guys,
First let me start off by saying, Today is the day that the Lord has made and we shall rejoice and be glad in it!!!

Today I will be talking about long distance relationships. Not only will I be talking about them, but I will also be sharing some of my very own experiences, thoughts and then I will be encouraging those who are going through a season of being apart from their love at the moment and also giving some encouragement to those who are afraid of getting into a long distance relationship.
I’ve been inspired by myself on today to write about long distance relationships because I am currently in one and today it hit me harder than most days.
SOME OF MY THOUGHTS ON LDR’s
-
They aren’t EASY, but they aren’t extremely hard either.
-
Communication is KEY
-
Having a solid foundation is important
-
Having a solid friendship with your spouse is very important
-
The only difference between a LDR and a relationship where the two are able to see each other everyday is the distance!
-
Patience is definitely needed.
-
They can get very annoying and tough
-
Distance means absolutely nothing.
-
Distance can’t and will not stop two from falling in love.
-
They take a whole lot of effort and work but what relationship doesn’t right?
-
It takes TWO to make it work.
-
You get sick and tired of your phone and it being the only way you can communicate with your spouse. (I’m definitely speaking for myself)
-
They’re a blessing because the thought of having someone who is miles away from you still love you is just an amazing thing.
-
They bring out true character in people
-
They make it easier to hide behind feelings, which isn’t Good.
-
You still see each other, just not as much as you would like.
Long story short, I have some good thoughts and then I have some bad thoughts on LDR’s.
BUT, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE ONE I’M CURRENTLY IN. Earlier, I mentioned how today it hit me that I was in a long distance relationship harder than most days and you’re probably wondering why?
Well, I have been in my amazing new relationship for 8 months now and this entire 8 months has been long distance! Yes, my boyfriend and I have seen each other through out the months BUT it’s nothing like being able to just wake up and drive over to your boyfriend or girlfriends house and just talk face to face, or just even have real hug or a real kiss. I swear, NOTHING LIKE IT lol. My boyfriend and I are very spiritual our relationship is based off of GOD and GOD is just our everything! We LOVE the Lord and we are doing our very best at living a life that’s going to be pleasing unto him! Today, it was just such a hard day for me being in this LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP because I just really wanted to worship God with my boyfriend, talk about what pastor spoke about on today face to face and just experience the Glory of God in the church house today with him, in person, in Gods presence. But, Ofcourse that couldn’t and can’t happen because we are miles away from each other. So, we FaceTime and talk about the word over the phone, but it’s just not the same.

ADVICE WHEN YOU’RE HAVING A TOUGH DAY BEING IN YOUR LDR.
-
Communicate how you’re truly feeling with your spouse
If you need to cry, go cry! Let those tears out!
Shift your thinking from the distance and place it on the love you have for your spouse.
Just think, you’re one day closer to being with the love of your life for the rest of your life.
- Remember It’s only temporary.
-
Shift your thinking from comparing your relationship to others and look at the beauty that lies within your relationship.
Have patience.
Leave the doubt at the door.
Always remember that he/she is worth the wait.
Please, take it from me.
Don’t get so caught up in the bad days of being in your LDR that you just decide you want to give up on the love that you and your spouse have been growing for one another. Stay strong, stay in love and keep conquering this thing because it’s only for just a little while. You will be together sooner than you may think. Patience and communication are definitely key (my opinion) and once it’s all over you’ll have someone you know will never ever leave your side. You’ll have no reason to be or feel insecure in your relationship. You also have time to work on yourself and better yourself for you and for your partner, which is what motivates me sometimes.

To the ones who are afraid to get into a long distance relationship…
Do not be afraid..
Distance means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, When the Love is true! Just have faith and keep your hearts and eyes on the bigger picture! Which is Being with that one person who can still make you feel loved even while being miles apart from one another.
“ True love doesn’t mean being inseparable; it means being separated and nothing changes.”
Just always remember..
“ Distance means so little when someone means so much”
❤️
I hope and pray this encourages whomever needed to read it.
Loveeeeee, T
