Perspective – a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view.
Hey guys. As you can see, I will be writing about having positive thoughts and perspectives today and the importance of them. I will also be sharing some of my past view points, how those view points changed and the importance of the change.
Perspective is important because it implies a view point. (The way we perceive, look at, or view) life, situations, relationships, friendships, people, problems, goals, money, just EVERYTHING.
The importance of perspective just becomes so clear to me as the days go by. The older I get, the more tenacious I am to just being a positive force and viewing everything positively. I believe we all should strive to have a positive outlook on not just life but on most situations we encounter in life because things could be worst. But I do have an understanding that not everyone thinks nor feels like I do.
Before I gave my life to Christ, I had such a horrible perspective of my life and just on everything I went through. I had that “Everything that’s happening to me is just so bad, I can’t get out of it, I am just in the worst place ever, I am stuck, no one cares about me, I’m worthless, why me why why why etc” mindset. But after I received Christ in my life? It was like my entire mindset changed.
“You were taught to leave your old self. This means that you must stop living the evil way you lived before. That old self gets worse and worse, because people are fooled by the evil they want to do. You must be made new in your hearts and in your thinking.Be that new person who was made to be like God, truly good and pleasing to him.” (Ephesians 4:22-24 ERV)
“Don’t change yourselves to be like the people of this world, but let God change you inside with a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to understand and accept what God wants for you. You will be able to know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect.” (Romans 12:2 ERV)
When I came across those two scriptures, Romans 12:2 to be in particular, I learned that my mindset and the way I thought needed to change. I learned that the ways and thoughts of my friends, family, and peers didn’t have to be my thoughts so I kicked out the negative thoughts and started to say things like, I am going to make it through, things could be a lot worst, I’m thankful for the valuable lessons I got from this, I’m happy this happened now vs. later, I am worthy, I am cared for, I am loved, etc. My mindset, perception on life and the issues it brought me changed completely!
I no longer played victim to my problems. I stopped blaming others and decided It was time I received what I’ve always wanted, a PEACE of MIND.
“STOP playing victim to your problems and allow your problems to serve their purpose.” Terran Robinson
I noticed when I had a negative mindset, I also had a negative view. I wasn’t ever able to discern a lesson that I could’ve grasped from my problems in life but once I switched over to the positive side, I was able to see the lessons and I was able accept the growth that took place in me.
I’ve been hurt the most in friendships and relationships and I’ve also hurt people the most in friendships and relationships as well. (Responsibility is important, own your mess) If my perception never would’ve changed, I would’ve never been able to see that I also created damage. It takes 2.
BUT, After being cheated on, manipulated, belittled, abused(mentally and physically) and used by the men I dated, my perception of ALL men changed drastically. Not only did my perception of men change but my desire to even be in a relationship, thoughts of marriage, kids, and being a wife changed. I just didn’t want any parts anymore. I was going to settle for the single, career, money making, success life. But God knew my heart even when I didn’t know it. I can testify and say that I know now that all men are definitely not the same, (because of my wonderful future husband/Boyfriend God blessed me with), they’re not bad creatures as I would call them when I was younger lol, and that some men just have some growing up to do and vise versa for woman as well.
For my bible readers, to the men- every lady you desire to be with isn’t going to be your rib, just because your heart desires her doesn’t mean she’s your rib and to the woman- you can’t be every mans rib. What looks Good to you isn’t always the best for you!
The problems that you experienced during the relationships you were in were only their to grow you into the man/woman you are today.

Another example I could think of is when people say “Oh you stole my dream, job, plan, vision etc.” I used to have that same perception of people until I realized that a lot of people could have the same ideas as me but have a different focus/topic/purpose. There are thousands of doctors, mechanics, authors, writers, bloggers, photographers, designers, you-tubers, models, artists, comedians, etc but each and everyone of them are unique in their own way. They all have their own way of creating greatness and pouring out greatness. They all have their own way of reaching out and speaking to others and They all have their own way of getting their job done or point across.
So with all being said, I truly believe having a positive outlook just brings peace and happiness to life. Speaking from my experience. When I stopped thinking negative and stopped thinking of myself I realized that peace was already in the midst of ALL of my issues and thoughts.
Think positive, Be positive, change some of your perspectives if you have to and live in peace.
My only desire is to try to encourage, inspire and just exemplify positivity so others can live a positive life as well.
